Becky Mahoney

I touched down in Maine in the spring of 2019 after a few years of international travel, with lots of schooling woven in throughout that time. After earning my degree in business administration and political science, I made the decision to pivot toward the thing I love most - the craft of tattooing. Through the help of my talented mentor and life partner, Ethan, I began my long foray into traditional tattooing in Portland, Maine. 

Inspiration finds me everywhere, from my travels to faraway places to my humble beginnings along the coast of New Hampshire. Much of my work pays homage to my love for all things vintage kitsch and camp, as seen in my work and my space. My work presents as an extension of myself, with a particular proclivity for antiques, folk art, and ornamental tattooing, all with a nod to traditional motifs. I work primarily from my extensive collection of hand-painted flash, but I’m open to any and all ideas that come my way.
